The Weekly Review Ritual That Changed Everything for Me

The Ritual That Quieted the Chaos

For years, Sundays made me uneasy. I'd stare at my planner, notice all the things that never got done, and think, "Okay… maybe next week." But next week always felt the same.

It wasn’t that I didn’t care. I just never had a rhythm that helped me reset.

Eventually, I started something small: 30 minutes, once a week, to check in with myself. No fancy system. No pressure to fix everything. Just a quiet moment to take stock and get honest.

That little pause changed everything.

Instead of carrying a mess of unfinished tasks and scattered thoughts into Monday, I started seeing patterns. I could make better calls about where to spend my time—and what to let go of.

Life didn’t get magically easier. But I started feeling more clear, more steady. That made follow-through feel less like a fight.

My Weekly Wind-Down (Takes 30 Minutes or Less)

This is the weekly rhythm I’ve stuck with—simple, steady, and helpful. I usually do it Sunday evening, but any quiet moment works.

  1. Clear the noise – Check your to-do list, messages, and inbox. Clean up or reschedule what’s lingering.
  2. Notice the wins – What went well, even if it was tiny?
  3. Check your energy – What felt heavy? What lit you up?
  4. Adjust your focus – Are your goals still pointing where you want to go? Shift what needs shifting.
  5. Pick your Big 3 – What are the three things that matter most this week?
  6. Reset your space – Clear your desk. Close your tabs. Breathe.

Reflection Prompt:

What might feel different if you ended your week with a deep breath… instead of a long to-do list?

If this kind of pause sounds like what you need—but you struggle to make space for it alone—I get it. Sometimes just having someone to think things through with makes all the difference.

I offer 1:1 free call where we slow things down and figure out what’s really getting in your way. If that sounds helpful, just reply. I’ll meet you wherever you are

It starts with one small action.

Not a big breakthrough. Not the perfect plan. Just one step that aligns with who you want to become. You don’t need to say more—just start doing.
